Beyond thrilled to announce that GSU Geosciences, along with amazing collaborators at West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, EcoAction, Spelman College, Emory University, and University of Georgia, have been awarded $7.2 million for 5 years to expand CSAW: Community-Soil-Air-Water. This project aims to integrate justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and programming with community collaborations to solve socio-environmental problems. The objective of CSAW is to answer the question How can Geosciences learn from, contribute to, and find solutions with communities facing fundamental problems related to Earth systems? We will be recruiting post-baccalaureate scholars and Master's students for the project in spring 2023 to start in summer/fall 2023. If you are interested, keep an eye on our website: geosciences.gsu.edu/csaw/ and I will also post here when applications open.
